Current Skincare Routine

Recently I've been loving a bit of 'skin pampering' and giving my skin the love it deserves! Now before my love for skincare grew I used to use a cleanser (I tried out balm cleansers but they were a bit of a faff) toner, moisturiser and i'd use a scrub every other day. But oh boy that's changed! (A bit).

First the current cleanser i'm using is 'Visibly Clear' by Neutrogena, it's okay, it cleans my skin but i'm not in love with it, and the smell is a bit rank as it reminds me of pepto-bismol ew. I've used the Liz Earle Cleans & Polish before as I bought a sample size and loved it, so I might go back to that once this one is all used up!
For a facial scrub I use good old St Ives 'Apricot Scrub' which is again, is okay, I have yet to find a really great scrub but this one does the job so i'm not too hasty in finding a new one.

Current Skincare Routine: Liz Earle, The Body Shop, Botanics

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish // Sanctuary Smoothing Silk Scrub // The Body Shop Organic Refreshing Toner // Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz // Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm //

So i've recently changed up my skincare routine with a few products, and it's safe to say i love my routine now,  as i never really used to be that fussed when it came to skincare products.  Well Ladies (and Gentlemen) that has changed!
I first start off with the Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm, which i rub between my fingers to make it more of an oily substance and then continue to work it into the skin. Then i finish it off with the cloth that's been soaked in warm water and ringed out, and place it on my face and wipe off the cleanser. Some days i'll follow that up with a facial scrub, either the Sanctuary Silk Scrub, or the St.Ives Apricot Scrub, just to deeply clean the skin every other day. Then to get off any makeup residue i'll use either of my toners, The Body Shop Refreshing Toner or the Botanics Rosewater Toner. with a cotton pad and take off any excess. Sometimes if i want a deep clean i'll use the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish after using one of my Facial Scrubs. Finally i finish it all up with a night cream, and the one i'm currently using is Olay Complete Care Night Cream to make my skin ready for the morning!

Skincare: Night Routine

Cleansing: Firstly I like to take off my makeup using the Simple facial wash first and then following up with the toner afterwards to take off any excess makeup or dirt. I love the Simple line as it doesn't break me out and feels really refreshing on the skin.

Exfoliating: I usually exfoliate the skin every other day as doing it every day can be a bit harsh on my skin, so for the days i do use a scrub i'll either use the St.Ives Apricot Scrub or the Sanctuary Smoothing Silk Scrub. Both are really great and exfoliate the skin really nicely, making it nice and soft afterwards!

Night Cream/Moisturiser: To hydrate my skin and give a bit of moisture and life back into my skin after washing and scrubbing at it (my skin usually looks fairly red at this point) I use the Olay Essentials Complete Care Night Cream which really soothes the skin and makes it really soft, this will last until the morning making foundation application stress free, yippey!

The Morning After: In the morning i don't tend to use as many products before applying makeup, sometimes i'll use the Simple Facial Wash again if i've worked out in the morning and then I'll follow it up with the Simple hydrating light moisturiser to keep the skin smooth and acting as a sort of base before i apply foundation.
