autumn makeup and beauty essentials

So as autumn is gravely coming upon us, so i thought i'd come up a few beauty essentials for the upcoming months.

1. St. Ives blemish fighting apricot scrub
First off, my skin always gets a lot worse in the colder months, with blemishes popping up all over the place. So i recently bought this blemish fighting scrub to add to my every day face cleansing routine, and it really has worked so far and really helps with my oily to combination skin. Overall it gets rid of any dead skin (eww) and helps with any blemishes i may have or about to have.

2. Revlon colorstay foundation in ivory for combo/oily skin + Real Techniques buffing brush
Foundation is ideal really, to get a flawless finish to your skin you can use a buffing brush or stippling brush to really get it blended in well, i like to use the real techniques buffing brush as the dense quality buffs it into the skin really well rather than using a regular foundation brush.

3. Maybeline color tatto and Urban Decay naked palette - (Bronze eye looks)
Bronze eye shadows or eye looks are obviously very autumn-like, but these kind of looks can be created any time of year, i just think they particularly look the best in autumn especially paired with a berry coloured lip. I especially like to use the color tattoo as a base for eyeshadows, and i build on top of the that with 'smog' and 'buck' from the naked palette.

4. Berry lips - from left to right, Maxfactor lipstick, E.L.F lipstick, No7 lipstick, Rimmel lipstick and on the bottom Maxfactor lip tint
Berry lips are always around when it comes to autumn, and i think autumn is the time to start experimenting more with colour, especially after summer when you can't really be bothered much in the way of most makeup products. I think these lipsticks are perfect for it, ranging from the more subtle mauve toned lipsticks like the rimmel and maxfactor ones, and the more daring E.L.F lipstick. You could also layer the lip tint with various lipsticks to create different shades and tones of intensity.
