My Favourite Foundations

MAC Pro Longwear in NC15 // NARS Sheer Glow in Deauville // Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B10 // Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in Soft Ivory //

1. MAC Pro Longwear: A lovely foundation that I find is medium coverage but very build-able, I tend to only stick to one layer though and use MAC studio finish concealer on areas of redness. A really good colour match to my skin tone, which also blends really well and leave a semi-matte finish to the skin.

2. NARS Sheer Glow: This foundation is soooo worth the hype it gets, it's absolutely beautiful! It's a medium-full coverage (the 'sheer' in the name is a bit incorrect) and leaves a pretty glow to the skin that looks natural. The shade I've got is slightly a tad off, but only the tiniest amount (i'm just being picky) but it will match perfectly in spring and summer when my skin doesn't tan and i'm covered in freckles.

3. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua: This is another foundation that has been ranted and raved about for god knows how long. It's a really nice light foundation, that looks natural and fresh with subtle radiance. It literally feels like you're putting on moisturiser, that's how thin it is! But it's a really nice light coverage, perfect as an every day foundation, or when you're feeling lazy and just want to slap something on that doesn't require a lot of blending.

4. Laura Mercier Silk Creme: Again, another foundation that's always being talked about. However this is on the complete opposite side of the 'coverage spectrum' compared to Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. This is a full coverage foundation, and I mean FULL. It's literally flawless skin in a tube. Obviously not a foundation for every day (unless you like wearing full coverage on a day to day basis) but really nice for evenings out, or if you're having a bad skin day!

  1. Really tempted to try the Laura Mercier Silk Creme, I don't really have any full coverage foundations in my collection at the moment, and I should probably, as I've finally got rid of my spots, so it's nice and smooth, but there's a lot of marks left over.
What's the colouring like with that one? :) (pale-wise!)
You have such a lovely collection, and I'd love to try the Nars Sheer Glow too!

    1. ahh you really should!! It's amazing :) i'd say it's a good shade for pale skin, i'm fairly pale but with a yellow undertone which it really matches well with. If you're unsure you can always pop into your nearest Space.NK and get a free sample :)
      Thankyou! :) xx

    2. Ah lovely, thank you! I don't really have an undertone, but pink ones look really silly on me, so a yellowish one is probably my best bet!
The only Space NK I've ever come across is in Brighton, so looks like I'll be headed down that way again soon! :) xx
