Autumn lookbooks - transitioning summer looks into autumn

I thought i'd put together a few looks/outfits for the autumn time with tips on how to transition your summer wardrobe into the autumn season. Hope this is useful, as it's just my take on how i'm going to be wearing my summer and spring clothes into the autumn and winter.

1. Dress - from Holly, Velvet shirt - charity shop, Belt - Beyond Retro.
For the first look i took a summer floral dress and decided to put a shirt underneath it, not only for more warmth but i think it gives the dress more of a 'pinafore' look, which i think looks really nice in the autumn and winter. And of course pair with thick tights as well.

2. Velvet shirt - charity shop, Jeans - H&M
For the second look i took the velvet shirt from the first and paired it with jeans that i rolled up at the bottom and tucked the shirt into them. I love the way this shirt hangs on the shoulders, so putting it together with simple jeans makes it comfortable and the perfect outfit to wear to uni or college. I would pair a subtle chain necklace with it and my Russell&Bromley loafers to add to the outfit.

3. Floral print blouse - car boot, Purple shorts - charity shop
For this look i took some shorts that i wore a lot of in the summer and took a floral blouse that i wore a lot of last autumn to create this flowery autumn look that works really well with an olive green cardigan or grey coat for when it's colder.

4. Floral blouse - charity shop, Cat jumer - ebay, Purple shorts - charity shop
I have quite a few floral shirts, so for this one i wanted to pair it with my old cat jumper which i've had for quite a while now and i don't think i'll ever throw it away cause i just love it too much. Anyway i love this outfit, i'd probably pair it with my creepers (which are getting too broken now) and then with my grey coat from H&M.

Makeup - my everyday makeup (see previous post)
